Here is an interesting video you might be interested in or entertained by, if you have not already came across it. This is called hardcore gamer, a home made fun chair (claimed in video description) and yet you think you are a hardcore gamer. It looks like a lot of fun. This must be some of you have dreamed of... yeah that's right, and some one already did that. what's your approach, do want to try if had a chance to do so, I bet you do. I don't know what the hell that thing is called, a 'fun chair' or a 'motion chair' but I would call it a 'flying chair', because that's how I see it. Lets check out the video

That's not it. CKAS "Thruxim" Motion and Motion Simulator is among them. First CKAS motion... description from it's website states;

The CKAS W3s 6DOF Motion System (pictured below - computer shown for size comparison only) features a mere 200kg total weight, 1160mm total width, and sits only 360mm high, therefore eliminating the need for any specialised stair or gangway for stepping up onto it. CKAS has used the knowledge it has developed for the heavier motion systems to design this unit, incorporating industry leading electronics, encoders and actuators. The expected life of the W3s is extremely high for its price point, and the maintenance requirements are minimal, especially important in commercial or consumer based applications.  The target market of the CKAS W3s 6DOF Motion System can be any of the following single seater applications:

  • Small Scale Compact High Fidelity Flight Training Devices for Commercial and Military applications
  • Small Scale High Fidelity Commercial Vehicle and Truck Driver Training Simulators
  • Small Scale High Fidelity Mining Equipment Simulators and Heavy Earth Moving Equipment Simulators
  • Small Scale High Fidelity Train Driver Simulators
  • Next Generation Unsupervised Coin-operated Motion Simulator Arcade Machines
  • Home Built High Fidelity Flight Simulators
  • Home Built High Fidelity Car Racing Simulators

As alsways, you can check out the video... make sure to share your views in a comment section. What what are your thoughts on this

New Reactive Grip Technology may gives you different gaming experience!!

The new reactive grip technology could make gaming and computer interaction a whole lot more hands on. The point of the device is to create an ultra realistic computer interaction experience which allows you to immerse yourself into whatever you are doing on the screen in a much deeper aspect. The reactive grip technology consists of a hand-held controller that has moving parts in the grip in order to infuse a realistic feeling of weight and movement when you move, fling or swing something on the screen.

For gaming, this reactive grip technology could mean that virtual reality gets a whole new level of realism since you will not only feel like you are immersed in the world you entered, but also because you will feel the materials around you. The grip technology is meant to be licensed when it is fully developed, but since there are still so few applications supporting it, they are looking to sell it with the help of a Kickstarter campaign in the near future. Hopefully that will add a bunch more interest for the new technology (somewhat like what happened to the Oculus Rift virtual reality helmet) and make companies more interested in licensing the technology for their games and applications.

The demo showcased at the Game Developers Conference 2013 made people really looking forward to what this grip technology can do when further developed. I think everyone has been looking forward to a more immersed gaming experience, and this could potentially be that next step. It not only caters to gaming though, it has also shown great potential when it comes to virtual surgery and mechanics as well, so we will have to see which field it will become most successful in when it starts shipping.

Nitendo Wii U
The design of Nintendo game has their own innovative style in the current market, over the past decade they took styluses, microphones, 3D stereoscopic vision and somatosensory game to us, and they shook the entire game market. Nintendo emphasized that “I can see things that I couldn’t see before” when they promoting Wii U. ARAIG- The Gaming suit

"Experience the next level of gaming. Finally you get to feel what you've only been able to see."

ARAIG- The Gaming suit

As Real as it Gets (ARAIG) uses 3 forms of sensory feedback: surround sound, vibration and STIMS. Surround sound is pretty straightforward: speakers are built in the suit so we can hear the sound even we wear the suit. Vibration is pretty much standard controller vibration, but over your whole body and much more concise (the developer gives the example of "a high powered sniper rifle might create a very strong impact at one location while a plasma rifle might create an average impact at a particular location and then spread out across the body."

STIMS is a unique aspect of the ARAIG device, using sensory stimulation "to contract particular muscles". The initial design focuses on the pectorals and abdominal muscles, and can create everything from a tingling sensation as if something which hurts the player in game. If you're worried that this might be beyond your pain threshold, IFTech assures us that the ARAIG is FDA approved and also no need to worry about it , it will not make us feel pain.

That was a big improvement for gaming, gamer will love it, such as L4D2 players. They can feel the zombies are attacking us from the back and you will not feel any pain from zombie.

PS3:           +22.4 GBps
*Xbox 360 Win!

Here is the comparison of PS3 and Xbox 360 on the lastest hot game- Grand Theft Auto 5(GTA 5)!

The quality of graphics:

The comparison of screenshots and videos, GTA 5 looks almost identical on both PS3 and Xbox 360. There are some minor differences, such as lower-quality mirror reflections on the PS3, and slightly more detailed trees on the Xbox 360. The 360 also suffers from some texture-streaming issues, probably caused bandwidth limitations, which can cause some blurrier textures. Euro gamer notes that this issue can be improved by installing the GTA 5’s Play disc to a USB drive.

The performance:

Overall, the outlook and performance of GTA 5 are almost same on both Xbox 360 and PS3. The visual quality of Xbox 360 is slightly higher than PS3, because of the Xbox’s texture streaming issues. However, although both consoles have a huge architectural differences, the ultimate decider for the seventh generation’s magnum opus title, comes down to the Xbox’s weaker ability to stream textures from DVDs.
